Dr. Stephen L. Goldstein
Columnist, author, consultant, TV and radio personality, and workshop leader - Dr. Stephen L. Goldstein is a nationally recognized marketing, communications, and fundraising executive, as well as a trends analyst and forecaster. For more than 30 years, he has developed strategies for nonprofit success.

He is the producer and host of "Fundraising Success," a weekly radio program on WXEL, 90.7FM/National Public Radio and available at any time from anywhere in the world at http://www.wxelpodcasts.org               

Dr. Goldstein's "Fundraising Guru" columns appear in The South Florida Sun-Sentinel and have been a regular feature of the Scripps papers on Florida's Treasure Coast. He also developed of The 7 POWERS Fundraising Success System, which is the basis for the fundraising workshops he offers around the country. Stephen Goldstein has also contributed fundraising advice segments for nonprofits on Wealth and Wisdom on WXEL-TV, Public Television. Dr. Goldstein works with individual nonprofits all across America to increase their fundraising success. Dr. Goldstein earned his bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D. from Columbia University.

Since 1999, Goldstein's bi-weekly op-ed columns have been featured in The South Florida Sun-Sentinel, specifically covering major topics with a Florida slant. He now parries Kingsley Guy, former Sun-Sentinel editorial page editor, in "The Dueling Columnists," a bi-weekly op-ed column featured in The Sun-Sentinel's Sunday Outlook.



Ellen Crane Schulman, APR

Ellen Schulman is a nearly 30-year veteran of marketing and strategic public relations. She founded Proseplus, Inc., a public relations consulting firm in December 2000. The firm offers support in all aspects of marketing and public relations, with a special emphasis on helping businesses develop strategic corporate giving programs.

One of her most recent programs is the Oce' Future Authors Writing Project, which gives Palm Beach County students the chance to become published authors. She also formed the "Community Champions" effort for the statewide law firm Broad and Cassel.  The partnership between the Observer newspaper in Deerfield and the Sun-Sentinel recognizes local community leaders who give back unselfishly.

Accredited in public relations (APR), Schulman also counsels numerous nonprofits in marketing and public relations. She has an extensive corporate and agency background, having worked for such companies as Hill and Knowlton, one of the world's largest and most prestigious public relations firms; Offerdahl's Bagel Gourmet; American Airlines in Dallas; and the Aluminum Company of America (ALCOA) in Pittsburgh.

She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Georgia and graduated from Leadership Broward, Leadership Boca Raton and Leadership Palm Beach.   She serves as secretary of the board of directors for the Broward Community College Foundation and is a Salvation Army board member. She was named a 2007 Women of the Year by the Association of Women in Communications and a 2006 Woman of Distinction by the March of Dimes.  In addition, she received the Miami Dolphin's Community Quarterback Award in 2006 and the Salvation Army Advisory Board Member of the Year in 2005.
